I have a 19 year old tabby that is eating less wet Fancy Feast. She is also not eating any dry food. She's healthy in the sense that she still moves up and down steps. Would the Felidae Platinum wet food be a good match?
Thanks,
Martin

Hi Jeffrey:

If your cat is overweight, you have a big problem. Get the weight down but gradually. Do not stop feeding a cat. In my opinion, it's best to feed at least twice a day at regular intervals. Adjust the portions accordingly and if the cat gets hungry, make it eat what's left in the dish, if any.

Most cats have dental problems so wet food can be problematical. Unless you are giving the cat regular Vet dental care and also brushing it's teeth, wet food is questionable. Always let it drink all the high quality, pure water it wants.

My 13 year old cat has developed a severe limp in her left leg/paw. I put her on this and a pharmaceutical grade Omega 3 and wow! The effects so far are very noticeable.

Hello,
I have a question about the Felidae Platinum for Seniors and Overweight cat food. Will this supply the daily moisture that my cat needs? I noticed that when i feed dry food she drink alot of water, But when there is wet food down, the water is not needed as much? Is this correct?

Thank you,
jeffrey

I think it's vitally important to keep track of our cat's behavour and eating patterns while they're still young. My cat died of kidney disease. If I had understood what the symptoms were, I might have been able to make her more comfortable in her later years.
