Get the weight down but gradually. Do not stop feeding a cat. In my opinion, it's best to feed at least twice a day at regular intervals. Adjust the portions accordingly and if the cat gets hungry, make it eat what's left in the dish, if any. Most cats have dental problems so wet food can be problematical. Unless you are giving the cat regular Vet dental care and also brushing it's teeth, wet food is questionable. Always let it drink all the high quality, pure water it wants. Hi Jeffrey:
